Hot Dip Galvanized Steel
Lock Washers, also known as Split Ring Lock Washers, Locking Washers or Spring Lock Washers, in this selection are made from hot dip galvanized steel. They are corrosion-resistant, durable and suitable for long lasting applications exposed to the elements, and other highly corrosive materials.
Split Ring
The split ring style is perhaps the most common style of lock washer. The helical shape of the washer exerts force between the fastener and the installation surface, resulting in a bolt or nut that becomes resistant to loosening due to vibration. Additionally, the edges of the split may add additional resistance to movement by digging into the fastener and the installation surface.
Medium Profile
Split ring lock washers come in a variety of different thickness standards, however the medium profile thickness is the most common. Please note that the thickness referred to the metal of the washer itself, as the angle of the spring can change with use.
