Description

With input from leading oil and gas companies, the lightweight Defiant, which has been remodelled to a new extreme comfort shape. Crafted from supple, water repellent and breathable leather, the seams face downwards to shed water. Combining a lacing system with an efficient zip side, the Defiant is easy to get on and off but fully adjustable for great ankle support. A scuff cap increases durability, and the innovative IGS sole provides superior grip and stability.

Upper
Supple, water resistant and breathable S3 leather. A full bellows tongue helps to prevent dirt and water ingress, and an ergonomic padded collar provides added comfort for a driving position.

Lining
Deep comfort moisture wicking, highly breathable lining. Cooler in summer and wamer in Winter.

Footbed
Heel pump shock absorbing footbed. Contoured to support the foot, with air channels to wick moisture and reduce heat build up and odour.

Toecap
Wide fitting composite non sparking and thermal insulating. Tested to impact of 200 Joules.

Protective midsole
A woven fibre midsole designed to protect from sharp objects entering underfoot.

Sole
Inspired by tyre technology and made from highly durable rubber, the IGS sole unit features a unique hexagonal tread ensuring superior traction, ladder grips offering firefighter levels of safety and a re-designed heel strike pad delivering exceptional water dispersal. The IGS is heat resistant to approximately 300°C.
